My Favorite Veteran

I am so Thankful to all those who have served our country and I want to honor you today....epecially to my dad, the most important veteran in my life.

Time????

Wow!  Where does the time go?  I came across this pic from two years ago.  Cannot get over how much they have changed and how two years got away so fast.  I crack up looking at this pic, because their personalities are portrayed very well in this one picture.  On Tuesday we are doing a family photo session.  It will be interesting to compare them.  Hope to post some later this week.

First Day!

It was a day of firsts.  First day of Kindergarten for Zander, first day of Intermediate School for Colter and Trent's first day to be the big brother at school.

Shootin Hoops

Last summer I got this picture of Zander shooting hoops.  Look at that form....and he was only 4 at the time.

Our 4th July fun!

We had a great time celebrating the 4th with friends.  Our neighborhood has a great view of The Woodlands fireworks show.  We don't even have to leave our street to see some beautiful fireworks.  We also had some crazy fireworks experiences of our own {see video on facebook}.  Our boys go nuts over fireworks....it is a little scary!

Trent's Find

The boys spent a few days at the Smiley Ranch last week.  While they were there Trent discovered a nest of dove eggs.  He loves nature and always seems to make a really cool find when he is outside. Things like this bring him such joy.  I love to see this look on his face.  Thanks Grammie for sending this great pic!

The Photo Shoot

All 3 boys played Upward ball this past season...3 games 3 practices a week!  I have been wanting to get some neat pics of the boys in their Upward Uniforms.  I finally had a free Friday with Bob home to help me.  We took them to downtown Conroe to get some cool urban shots.  It is never fun taking pics of your own kids....UUgggghhh.  I did manage to get some good ones.  I even managed to get an outfit change.  More pics to share later.

Western Day

Cake and Song

It would not be a birthday without cake!  We had lifegroup at our house tonight so I made a cake for us to sing "Happy Birthday" with and EAT!!!  However, this is not the end of the festivities.  There will be a superhero party on Saturday to continue the celebration of Zander's 5th year.

Birthday Breakfast

Zander started off his 5th birthday by going to IHOP for pancakes.  He got to take his friend Cam and the class pet Froggy.  This is the week Zander is entertaining the class pet and what a great week for Froggy to be with the Smileys.         

At home with Zander

This is my last year with Zander at home with me on Monday and Friday.  I am definitely trying to enjoy it while I can.  Today we worked on building some interesting structures with blocks.  Zander loves to create.  I kept getting told how to do it.  I am sure going to miss these alone times with him next year.
