We went to see Santa last week. I love the Santa pictures....I wish it was not such a rushed thing. Trent said Santa told him he could not get the same thing as Colter. We told him I think Santa was just kidding with you....or maybe he wants to surprise you!

Trenton's Tooth
For about 2 years Trenton has been asking when he was going to lose a tooth. His first tooth started getting loose the day after his 6th birthday. He was having a hard time eating and said "maybe I shouldn't turn 6". Unfortunately we don't have a choice whether we get older or not. A week and a half later the tooth finally fell out. Well, now his wish has come true and he can now say he has had a visit from the tooth fairy.

Clear Lake High School Friends
Last Sunday a group of my high school buds got together for dinner. We try and get together a couple times a year. We let time get away from us since the last visit.....but we aren't going to let that happen again. It is so much fun when we get to see each other. Hope we plan it again soon!!! Luv ya girls!!!
Dana brought a drink to share to bring back good times. I am still laughing about it......not because I drank too much! You rock Dana!

Back to Normal
Well, we are finally getting back to normal. We left College Station last Friday and went to Bob's parents house for the weekend (they got power back last Thursday). Our power came back on Sunday evening. We moved back home Monday morning after I dropped the boys off at school. It has been a crazy couple of weeks.

Seems Like Vacation
On Tuesday evening we had a little bit of a scare with Trenton. He woke complaining of his leg hurting. That evening we noticed his toe looked infected and there was streaking up his leg. I called a cousin of mine who lives in town and is a Dr....he happened to have a pediatrician that lives next door to him. Long story short. We ran over then at 10:00 at night and she diagnosed him with staff. We got him some antibiotic and he was much better the next morning. By that evening he was back to full health (as you can see in the pics). Yesterday Aunt Debbie came to the compound so we helped her clean up the yard. The boys picked up branches and sticks. They were somehow very motivated when they learned we were going to make a bonfire with all the branches. Today we learned that Bob's parents got their power back, and we are suppose to get ours back by Monday. So, tomorrow we are headed to Conroe to stay with Grammie and Papa till our power comes back on. The Lord has blessed us tremendously through this whole thing. We feel so blessed. No damage to either one of our homes....and plenty of family to support us and help us through all this. Thank you Lord!!!

Our Current Status
The only reason I am able to add these post is thanks to Bob's Aunt Debbie and her family. They have graciously aloud us to use their A&M house in College Station. I decided on Sunday, after two days of no power, that we should just get out of town considering gas and ice were hard to come by. We cleaned out our fridge and Bob's parents fridge and headed to College Station. We are very comfortable where we are. There is lots of space for us to spread out and lots of land for the boys to run around and play. On Monday my mom and I took the kids to A&M University to look around. We found a big tree for the kids to climb in (see attached pics) right beside the bonfire memorial. They have a really pretty campus. Bob, who managed to fix his schedule to miss the hurricane, met up with us on Monday night in College Station.

Calm Before the Storm
A few hours before the storm began the whole neighborhood was outside enjoying the nice strong breeze. I tried to let the boys play outside as much as possible that day. The sunset was absolutely beautiful on one side and the sky was as blue as could be on the other. It was really strange. The storm was scary that night....needless to say I did not get much sleep. We lost power at 12:45 pm and on day 3 now we are still without.

Zander's Pool Tricks
Zander was showing off his pool tricks Saturday and I just had to catch it on video. I am amazed at what he can do at such a young age. He has come a long way on his swimming skills this summer.

First Day of School
The first day of school was Monday. Trenton started Kindergarten and Colter started 3rd grade. The boys were pretty excited about starting school....since we moved over the summer, the school is new to both of them. Trent was determined to ride the bus on the first day. He has been waiting to ride the bus since he saw Colter getting on the bus 3 years ago.
Colter is already taking after his father!
Even Trent was entertained by Colter.
There they go!!!!!!

Alaska Cruise
Bob and I had the priviledge of going on an Alaskian Cruise a couple weeks ago. It was so nice to get away. Bob entertained along with a few other Christian artist. This was the first formal night. We managed to step outside long enough to get a pic together.
We took a whale watching excursion and saw some pretty amazing activity going on with the whales. We saw killer whales and humpback whales. As you can see in the picture, about 5 whales are working together to catch fish. You can see them all surfacing together with mouths open wide.
One day we circled in front of Hubbard glacier. It was spectacular! I could not stop looking. Big pieces would fall off and it would sound like thunder.
This was the second formal night. The sun was setting beautifully and wind was blowing really hard. I decided to go with the windblown look.
